Meet The Team: Jack Benton

How long have you worked for Benton Furniture?

I have worked for Benton Furniture for 18 years. I started working Saturday mornings, tidying up the factory and showroom. Over the years, I have progressed through various roles within the company and now hold the position of director, working alongside my father Richard and Uncle Steven.

What’s your favourite part of the job?

My favourite part of the job is working with clients to bring their visions for their home to life! I have always been a creative person and am very good at finding ways to solve problems. I also really enjoy seeing the process of the furniture coming to life in our factory. As its a family run business, we all have lots of different and varied roles we do day to day. 

I also feel very privileged to work alongside my father and uncle. They are both big sources of inspiration for me as they have done so well with building the business over the years and I am very proud of what they have achieved. 

Which is your favourite piece from the Benton Home Collection?

I really like all the pieces within the Clifton range. The angled framing is a detail that I have rarely seen outside of our company, which makes it really unique. It's a more interesting take on a classic shaker style of cabinet.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy running, playing squash and going to the gym. I am due to run my first 10k race later this year and currently feel very unprepared! I am also a registered dietitian and work in the private sector.
